With end of life occurring across all 2008 R2 servers, this Atlas customer needed a strategic approach to leveraging the abilities of the cloud for its 70,000 plus users and preparing for future technology innovations but faced constraints unique to its mission demands.
Atlas Tech’s extensive background in Exchange environments and server management, along with expertise in user migration from on - prem servers to cloud - based platforms, allowed the Atlas team engaged to quickly determine the distinctive needs of this digital transformation project. The combined Atlas and customer team focused on the contrasting demands created by a unique and constantly changing user base scenario. A hybrid approach was determined optimal to provide an on - prem presence for certain users while interfacing seamlessly with a cloud - based solution deemed ideal for another user base segment. With guidance from the Atlas team, the customer made the decision to upgrade their environment to 2016 servers, and Atlas led the way in configuring the new 2016 environment, installing Exchange 2016 Hybrid solutions, and providing enhanced productivity by migrating all users to the 0365 suit.
