Our History
Atlas Technologies, Inc. (Atlas Tech) began in 1997 with a straightforward idea: technology should serve people with integrity. Our Visionary and Founder, Brian Miller, a Navy veteran and seasoned technologist, founded the company with a commitment to delivering solutions that made a real difference for clients, the community, and the nation.
What started as a small Veteran‑Owned Small Business™ in Charleston quickly grew. By 1999, we opened our second office in Chesapeake, VA, followed by our third in San Diego, CA, in 2003. Today, we operate from six locations and employ more than 400 Team Members, supporting missions around the world wherever reliability and readiness matter most.
Atlas’s growth has been matched by consistent recognition. The Charleston Regional Business Journal has named the company one of the region’s 20 fastest‑growing businesses, and Atlas has been honored as one of the Best Places to Work in South Carolina for eight consecutive years and Best Places to Work in Virginia for six consecutive years.

From Brian Miller’s early consulting career to the company’s evolution into a trusted mission partner, one principle has remained constant: Technology with Integrity. Nearly 30 years later, that principle continues to guide Atlas Tech as we strengthen national defense and empower organizations to achieve their missions.

Our Visionary
After a successful Internet and UNIX consulting career, founder Brian Miller created Atlas Technologies, Inc., to merge Technology with Integrity to create a positive impact for our clients, community and country. Since 1997, Atlas Technologies, Inc., a Veteran Owned Business, has provided government agencies and business customers with cutting-edge IT services.
