Ethan Walker

Ethan Walker is a Senior Systems Engineer and Technical Lead for Atlas Tech’s CANES Engineering team and Tech Fellow, bringing more than 30 years of experience in enterprise IT, systems engineering, and large‑scale defense network modernization. Known for his depth of expertise and steady technical leadership, he guides system design, engineering quality, and capability development across one of the Navy’s most critical modernization efforts.
In addition to leading CANES engineering, Ethan serves as Deputy Lead for the Operating Environment subsystem, driving automation, virtualization, and system enhancements for current and future baselines. His leadership extends beyond engineering execution—he has also served as Project Manager for the CANES Engineering contract, overseeing personnel, subcontractors, deliverables, financials, and direct engagement with government stakeholders.
Earlier in his career, Ethan supported major Navy programs, including NOCs, ADNS, and ISNS, and served as IT Director for the Department of Justice’s Project SeaHawk Task Force, where he led the design and administration of a multi‑agency intermodal security system supporting federal, state, and local partners.
Ethan’s career reflects a rare combination of technical mastery, operational understanding, and thoughtful leadership. As one of Atlas Tech’s inaugural Technical Fellows, he continues to advance secure, resilient, and innovative systems that strengthen mission readiness across the Department of Defense.
